With age comes wisdom. I will be 40 in less than a year. There is no denying that life has had one trial after another and another. I believe that we all look back, and even still today and say, “wow, those were some real crazy times in life, how did I sustain?”
James 1:2-4 kept me going for a very long time. I now know that if it were not for those times – and even present day challenges – I would not be the woman I am today. Seeing life – knowing that I am never alone – has been the key for me.
We are all under trial, every single day. There is no escaping it. I urge you to recognize the trials – learn from them and come out a better person than you were before. The trials will never stop – until you change what needs to be changed. God does not have bad things happen to us or bring trials upon us. People have their own free will. But, God has promised all of us in Ecclesiastes 3:17: ~ “I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.”
So keep doing good, even when you feel that you want to give in or give up.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” ~ James 1:2-4
